John Adams, America’s first vice president, described his job as “the most insignificant office that ever the invention of man contrived or his imagination conceived.” Well in his defense, he never could have imagined the real duties of V.P. centuries later would include actually running the nation in the event of a monkey in charge.

All this week at Comedy Central’s Indecision 2008 blog, Y.P.R. will be whoring its sociopolitical influence to examine the United States’ most underrated executive understudies.
