Y.P.R.'s Cinco de Mayo! Fies
A Message from the Mexican Minister of Tourism
¡Hola, mis amigos del norte!
That means, “Hello, my friends from the North!” Our beautiful language is just one of the many exotic things you will find when you visit the lovely shores of Mehico. I would like to extend a personal invitation all of you to visit your neighbors to the south and discover the wonder that is Mehico!
We have many, many beautiful cities that are just minutes over the border. In beautiful, scenic Tijuana, you can find merchants that can provide you with quality blankets, silver jewelry, and many colorful large-brimmed hats that real Mehicans have not worn for centuries. Lovely Tijuana can also provide lodging and activities for mere pennies a day. All of Tijuana’s residents will gladly avail their services to you. You’ll find that Tijuana’s denizens are among the friendliest in the world.
There is more. Mehico City is one of the most vibrant cities in the world, home to nearly 25 million residents. In fact, Mehico City’s urban landscape is so beautiful, many of these residents choose to sleep on park benches, staircases, even in the street! And it’s getting cleaner every day. Mehico City just passed Calcutta to vault itself out of last place in air quality. Look out, Jakarta! We’re coming after you next!
There is much to see and do in Mehico! Think about us for your next vacation.
¡Dejaremos la luz encendido para Usted! (We’ll leave the light on for you!)
Rodolfo Elizondo Torres
Minister of Tourism
